Zombicide Undead or Alive is the new incarnation of CMON’s famous board game dedicated to ravenous zombies. So, after taking us to a post apocalyptic world, in a medieval fantasy, in the deepest space, to relive Romero’s film, CMON is ready to bring zombicide to the old far west.
When Zombicide Undead or Alive comes out?
On February 17, the Kickstarter campaign will start as usual. At the moment it is only possible to subscribe to the pre-launch newsletter on the appropriate page.
What’s new in this Zombicide?
Zombicide Undead or Alive will not simply be a change of setting. As with all previous versions of Zombicide, Undead or Alive will almost certainly introduce new game modes, new characters with new features. After all, the CMON announcement itself reads “The hit board game is back, reinvented in a western setting! Simplified rules, different classes, new survivors and zombies!”. This gives me hope.
It must also be said that with each Kickstarter campaign, CMON presents several new expansions. If I can make a guess, I imagine that the base game is set in a classic town in the far west with saloon, sheriff, farrier like a classic movie setting. But there could be an expansion totally set inside a mine, for example, or inside a canyon. Among the new characters, then, we will almost certainly see the introduction of horses as pets and carriages instead of cars. And definitely inevitable must be the presence of characters taken from many spaghetti westerns such as “the good, the bad and the ugly” … while the dream is called Bud Spencer and Terence Hill! In short, there can be lots of news! In any case, seeing a new evolution of this game is always a pleasure and I personally can’t wait to see what they will present with the campaign!
