Danilo Cartacci, an undisputed master in painting historical miniatures, has left an indelible mark on the world of modeling. From what he told during his workshops, his passion for art, history and fantasy was evident from a young age, leading him to become a point of reference for enthusiasts and professionals in the sector.
Among the numerous awards obtained, the title of “Grand Master” stands out, awarded to him in 2022 at the Monte San Savino Show, one of the most prestigious events in the European and probably global modeling scene. This award celebrates artists who have made a significant contribution to the world of modeling, and the assignment to Danilo Cartacci testifies to his extraordinary talent and dedication.

In addition to his activity as a painter, Danilo was an appreciated author. His book “Painting Miniatures” is considered a bible for enthusiasts, offering techniques and advice resulting from years of experience. His ability to transmit knowledge inspired a new generation of modelers, contributing to the spread of wargaming and miniature painting culture. Although he was mainly known for his art in the historical field, he was a great fan of fantasy and a deep connoisseur of The Lord of the Rings.
Throughout his career, Cartacci collaborated with numerous miniature manufacturers, contributing with his mastery to raise the quality standards of modeling. His works, characterized by a maniacal attention to detail and a deep historical knowledge, have been exhibited in international exhibitions, receiving prestigious awards and prizes.

A great artist leaves us, but above all a generous person, always available to help and spread the love for his passions. Danilo Cartacci will always remain an iconic figure, whose contribution has enriched the artistic and cultural panorama of our time. I had the opportunity to participate in only one of his workshops, made of sharing, art, sympathy and lasagna. It was an experience that I will always carry with me.
