In this nefarious 2020 there is a good news: the new edition of Blood Bowl is coming to authorized Games Workshop stores and the pre-order has already started! In recent days I had the opportunity to preview it, thanks to the friends of Ars Manufactorea, the largest modeling and wargames shop in Italy. Gigi and Alessandro sent me their exhibition copy for free, in order to show all of you the new Blood Bowl via video. Thanks to them for their cooperation.
What’s new in Blood Bowl 2020
The new base box of Blood Bowl is particularly tempting for fans of fantasy football because in addition to the two teams, the Imperial Nobility Bogenhafen Barons and the Black Orcs, it also contains two Star Players: Griff Oberwald and Varag Ghoul-chewer. Two Big Guys: the ogre and the troll from the previous edition, plus two referees, an elf and a dwarf. In total this box contains 30 miniatures! In addition to the miniatures, the box contains a copy of the new bound manual, the data sheets, the two benches and all the game tokens. The only “sore point” if we can say so, is that this version will be available only in English. An Italian box will never be released. I don’t quite understand why Games Workshop made this choice, let’s take it as it is …
You can pre-order the new Blood Bowl at Ars Manufactorea from Saturday November 14th, while it will be available in store only from Friday November 27th. Occasionally on Fridays due to black friday, Games Workshop usually releases its news on Saturdays. And remember that you can book your copy of Blood Bowl at Ars Manufactorea with the usual 25% discount that drops the price from € 105 to € 78.75!
