Yesterday, Games Workshop presented the logo of the new Warhammer The Old World. A new version of Warhammer to be added to Warhammer Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40000. After that in 2015 they had put an end to Warhammer Fantasy with the introduction of Age of Sigmar, they are turing back to a new setting. In GW they presented it as what Horus Heresy was for Warhammer 40000 but in Age of Sigmar.

Warhammer The Old War: release dates

At the moment, what has been presented is only the logo of the project. It will still take a long time to see the first Warhammer The Old World miniatures. There are no official dates yet and in the official Games Workshop release speaks of “3 or maybe 4 years” before seeing the first products. Won’t it be a little early? Maybe you could wait a little longer.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: let’s take a step back

Until a few years ago, Games Workshop divided Warhammer into 40,000 and into Fantasy. But in 2015, they continue the story: Archaon, Champion of the gods of Chaos, destroyed the world. Everything that was known about the Old World collapsed into a void of chaos and endless possibilities. From those events came the Mortal Realms, which announced a new dawn of the endless war in the Sigmar era, hence “Age of Sigmar” as we know it.
